Vitamin K is involved in blood clotting and bone health. Michael Donaldson from the Hallelujah Acres Research Foundation speculated that vitamin K might also be important for promoting prostate health. One cause of prostate enlargement is the development of varicose veins in the urogenital tract, which concentrates testosterone and promotes prostate growth. Vitamin K is important for blood vessel health and might prevent vascular problems in vessels surrounding the prostate. At this point, his speculation is a hypothesis rather than a direction for treatment.
